Ruger the Kangaroo
Ruger was born in July, 2025. Ruger loves to eat and when he is ready he will start grinding his teeth or chirp at us. We bottle feed Ruger 4 times a day, he has also started forging for grass outside and we also fed him timothy grass.
Kangaroos are native to Australia and are famous for their strong legs, long tails, and the pouch where mama kangaroos carry their babies, called joeys. Kangaroos eat grass and leaves, and they like to hop around in open spaces. Baby joeys are about the size of a gummy bear when they are born, they grow inside the pouch until they are big enough to explore (usually 6 to 9 months). Kangaroos live in groups called mobs.

Chinchillas
Mona Lisa and Da Vinci
Mona Lisa is the white female, she is 1 ½ years old. Da Vinci the littler grey male is 2 ½ years old. They love to hop and jump and climb, and play. They will sit on our shoulders while we walk around the house.
Chinchillas are small, fluffy animals that come from the mountains of South America. They have very soft fur, big round ears, and long whiskers. Chinchillas like to hop, explore, and play, especially at night when they are most active. They stay clean by taking special dust baths instead of getting wet. Chinchillas eat hay, plants, and small treats, and they love to live in cozy, safe places. They are gentle animals but can be shy, so they need calm and careful handling.

Mini-Horses
Coco & Milo

Coco is a mare (female) mini horse. Coco is 4 years old and she loves to eat and be brushed. Milo is a gilding (male) mini horse. Milo is 9 months old and he wants to be a lap horse, he loves being right next to you and will follow you around the yard.
Mini horses are small horses that look just like big horses but are much shorter and cuter. They have soft manes, shiny coats, and gentle eyes. Mini horses are friendly and like being around people, and they enjoy walks, brushing, and learning simple tricks. They eat hay, grass, and clean water just like regular horses. Even though they are small, they need plenty of space to run and play. Mini horses are gentle animals and can make great helpers and companions when treated with kindness.
